The work around is to not use the problematic mode (XVideo). Playing /media/disk/Users/iPC/Documents/Downloads/Clarkson.Thriller.DVDRip.XviD-HAGGiS/clarkson.thriller.dvdrip.xvid-haggis.avi. It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version. It's interesting though.
