The first thing to do in a situation like this is to save your data, which you've done. And it will be added automatically. If you provided more information both about the model of drive you are using as well as about the errors the Samsung utility reported you might get better answers. But there were a partition which was not found by TestDisk.
If so, remove the drive from the enclosure and attach as standard. I would try using a data recovery program on it and hope you get everything off it before it fails completely as it sounds like it's dying. Unfortunately, even if reading one sector is sucessful, the drive will atempt to fill the cache and may be hung up reading subsequent sectors, even if they are empty. And I do have SpinRite, but I don't like using it if there are other methods.
